Hey Gamers!

I'm sure you're all glad that this quarter is finally done and it's time to enjoy the summer! I know this because Xfire has been lit up by people rocking their games once again! While I'm stoked about seeing xfire alive once again, I wanted to apologize that the End of the Year party didn't end up happening. It just wasn't plausible with how few people were showing interest in it. I had a lot of plans and announcements I wanted to make at the party as well, but alas, it was not to be.

All is not lost though, for you see we have an entire summer of gaming goodness ahead of us! A few of us may have graduated and be heading off to better things, but before we bid you farewell we will have some fun this summer!

That's where you all come in! Head over to the forums and start planning and discussing ideas for fun things to do! They can be online or off, a public event or private. Just make it known that we aren't just bummin' around and being antisocial all summer! Let's get together and make what made The Gamers Club great all school year last throughout the summer!

Now on to the fun news stuff!

Gaming News:

Gamers Club News

Well being that there aren't any game days until Fall, and no one has anything set up for summer yet; this section is a little dry. I do have a couple of important dates for our gamers this summer!

07/31-08/02 SpoCon
08/03-08/04 OtakuCon
09/04-09/06 PAX

If you have any events or know of any that we should know about, send us an email or post in the forums!

We're always watching the Steam community as well, so you may just be selected without nomination if we feel you've earned it! Hey Gamers!

This has been a solid quarter but we're starting towind down and get ready for summer. We're really hoping a lot ofmembers would want to stay active over summer, in the forums, with someevents, and playing games. We'll see what happens, but either way theclub will still be right here ready for you even if you don't!

Gaming News

People are whining about Left 4 Dead 2 (I know L4D isn't even done, but L4D2 looks AWESOME!)

Koei and Tecmo finally merge, then demand more babies! (seriously!)

Gamers have poor sleep habits (no really?)

Wii to become personal lie detector

Project Natal on Late Night (if you can tolerate Jimmy Fallon, watch the video)

Gamers Club News

Nota lot to report being that this is the second to last email for thequarter. Once the quarter is over we'll still be posting a spammingnews just as often, but there will be a small break after next week, soif you don't see one, don't panic! (like anyone reads these anyway!).If you do give half a crap, head over to our website and post in theforums. We're trying to organize some summer events and so far not manyare posting. If we get enough people that want to, I'll set up an M10release party for July. Otherwise, there are a few conventions thissummer. Either way, get on the website if you haven't already and GETACTIVE. Here are your upcoming events:

6/12: Handheld Game Day

6/17: Gamers Club Party

Hey Gamers

This has been an amazing week for gaming! E3 reallyblew away any negative thoughts still remaining and made a great show! All of the major consoles, handhelds and even the PC had a lot to offerthis year! Beyond mind-blowing games, it seems that everyone's gettinginto the motion control business! Project Natal from Microsoft, Motioncontrol from Sony and even Nintendo's pulling a do-over with WiiMotionPlus! All of these seem gimmicky at first, but the firstimpressions demonstrate they go far beyond what we're used to! It lookslike the next few years will be a the renaissance of electronicinteraction! Anyway, on to news!

This Week in Gaming:

E3 Happened and was AWESOME!

Christian Group Protests Dante's Inferno Outside E3

Guantanamo Game Shelved in wake of Conservative Outcry (they had nothing to worry about, it looked like crap anyway...)

PSP Go! (meh..)

Project Natal, Sony Motion Wand, Wii Motion Plus (is it something in the water?)

Gamers Club News:
